If you thought Spider-Man was never going to do bad, you’ve got another thing coming.

The first trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” a feature film that takes Peter Parker back to his New York City home after being sent off to Europe to fight the Chameleon and counting down the days to his return, debuts online Thursday.

This is the third time Sony and Marvel Studios have swapped Spider-Man, and Tom Holland is the best we’ve ever seen him. He brings another level of edginess, humor and athleticism to the franchise and the series.

And if the trailer is anything to go by, No Way Home seems to be set to be just as cool as its predecessor with several battle scenes, spectacular special effects and the usual villain/hero team-up expected.

The No Way Home trailer comes from creators the Russo Brothers who directed the second and third “Captain America: Civil War.” Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Sony Pictures CEO Tom Rothman also serve as executive producers.

The film is directed by Jon Watts and hits theaters July 5, 2020.
