GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE AND TALENT: Former Afiniti CEO M. Zia Chishti steps down

NEW YORK, NY – Afiniti, a global investment and advisory firm, announced today that Zia Chishti has left the company. Chishti served as Chief Executive Officer since joining Afiniti in 2014.
David F. Hines, Afiniti’s Founder and Chairman, said, “We sincerely thank Zia for his service. We wish him well as he pursues his future endeavors.”
Chishti added, “After five great years leading Afiniti, I am now looking ahead to a new chapter in my career as I look to expand my interests in global and domestic politics and economic development. I am excited for what the future holds.”
He will continue to manage Afiniti’s day-to-day business activity until a new CEO is appointed.
Zia Chishti is a founder and non-executive Chairman of Heron, a mission-based commercial law firm that provides strategic counsel and technical skills to leading organizations in pursuing a leadership change. His journey began in the UK, and before joining Afiniti, Chishti served as a member of the Department of International Development’s executive board, advising on public finance policies and program delivery. Prior to his presidency, Chishti held the position of Chairman of the Joint Staff of the British Army. While in the Army, he was awarded two Overseas Commander of the Order of the British Empire’s (OBE) and the Victoria Cross. Chishti holds a BS in European History from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Law degree from City University of London.
